The core of Nitro Films is made up of five professionals working in the film business. Amongst our number, we have an actor, screenwriter, director, special effects artist and distributor. Our aliases give us protection, and more importantly anonymity, as we write reviews that are untarnished by anything other than our own personal judgement and taste. We haven't been given flowers, champagne and free lunches on set to 'affect' our review. You the viewer didn't get this treatment, so the film stands or falls on its own merits.
We may all love, hate or have mixed opinions about a film, but you will always read what we think. We won't lecture you that a film is fantastic because we say it is, but rather indicate if you liked such and such a film, then you may well like this one. We will do our utmost not to give away plot points, and concentrate on giving opinions rather than the storyline.
There is no right or wrong in films, sure there are bad ones, but some people like bad movies. We all have different opinions about films, and you should soon be able to see which reviewer you tend to agree with, and develop an understanding on whether you can trust the review to suit your personal tastes.
Along with reviews and links to merchandisers stocking the films we're talking about, we have a regularly updated "Top 5" which varies its topics as often as Ang Lee does genres. We have "our man in the know" Paul Dross offering inside titbits from the world of celluloid, and "Insider Reeling" will offer you news, gossip and advance word on movies yet to see the popcorn covered carpet of a cinema. Finally, "Dream Cast" does what it says on the film tin. Quite simply, we offer our opinion on an ideal star cast for an unmade project, whether it be based on an old TV series, remake of a classic (or awful) film, or even a biog movie.
We are film lovers, and we're running this site for film lovers. It's as simple as that.
