I. Bad BoysII. The Rock
III. Point Break
IV. The Enforcer
V. Minority Report
Can’t really think of that many… sorry kids. There’s either too many good ones, and my minds frazzled or I’m just feeling kinda thick at the moment… take your pick.
Say what you like about Bay, but he knows how to do a good chase, damn he even makes Martin Lawrence look like he can handle himself. The ‘Bad Boys’ kidnap chase goes in at the top spot, followed by Sean Connery’s escape in ‘The Rock’-frenetic camera movement; Bays love em or hate em 2-second shots accompanied by the music of Mancina and Zimmer respectively.
Point Break-don’t really like the movie that much, but the chase through the houses, down the alleys is a stand out.
The Enforcer has Eastwood and that lass from ‘Cagney & Lacey’ chasing a suspected bomber across rooftops, again down alleys and through glass skylights interrupting that porno film that was always being made in 70’s San Francisco, thus resulting in that one second shot of a woman’s breasts that we oh so appreciated in our teenage years. Again all the while Lalo Schifrin plays in the background-class.
Finally MR and the alley jet pack chase. While the whole movie is essentially one big chase this is a great set piece.
Never hate your enemies - it affects your judgement.
